About this property

Welcome to Hotel Emporio Ciudad de México

Hotel Emporio Ciudad de México is a modest hotel located on the iconic Avenida Paseo de la Reforma in the Juárez neighborhood of Mexico City. It offers casual rooms and suites designed for comfort, featuring air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. The property includes a breakfast restaurant and a café, as well as a fitness center, providing convenient amenities for leisure and business travelers alike. Additional services such as room service, laundry, and airport shuttle add to the practical experience, though the absence of a pool and pet-friendly options may be a limitation for some visitors.

Guests have praised the attentive and friendly staff, particularly noting the helpfulness at the front desk and restaurant. The on-site Restaurant Galería del Café has received positive feedback for both its coffee offerings and attentive service, making it a suitable spot for casual dining or a relaxed drink. However, some reviews mention that certain aspects of the hotel feel dated, including the rooms which are described as small and in need of renovation, while the gym facilities do not meet higher star hotel standards.

Situated in a lively district characterized by nightclubs, refurbished mansions, diverse dining options including Korean cuisine, and the gay-friendly Zona Rosa, the location is highly favorable for visitors interested in exploring the city's vibrant cultural and nightlife scenes. The hotel’s proximity to several other well-rated hotels suggests a competitive area with multiple accommodation options nearby, all within walking distance.

While not a luxury destination, Hotel Emporio Ciudad de México suits travelers seeking a centrally located base with straightforward amenities and reliable service. Its business center and accessibility features also enhance its appeal for business and family travelers. Considering the mixed guest feedback, the hotel offers solid value for those prioritizing location and service over modern luxury.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Emporio Reforma during a business trip to Mexico City, and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The hotel blends classic elegance with modern comfort, all situated on one of the city’s most iconic avenues, Paseo de la Reforma. From the moment I arrived, the service stood out. The front desk staff were professional, courteous, and bilingual, which made check-in quick and easy. They offered recommendations for local restaurants and nearby attractions, and even helped arrange transport when needed. The bell staff and concierge were equally attentive and polite. The hotel’s location is one of its strongest advantages. It’s in the heart of the city, making it easy to reach both the historic downtown and more modern business districts. It’s also close to landmarks such as El Ángel de la Independencia, Chapultepec Park, and various museums and shopping areas. This made it ideal for both my work meetings and a bit of sightseeing during free time. The room I stayed in was clean, comfortable, and modern, though not particularly large. The bed was very comfortable, and I appreciated the inclusion of a coffeemaker, minibar, and fast Wi-Fi. The marble bathroom was well-equipped, featuring a jetted tub/shower combo that added a touch of luxury. However, one downside was the street noise—given the hotel’s central location, light sleepers might want to request an interior-facing room. One of the highlights of the stay was the Condimento Restaurant on-site. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a mix of traditional Mexican dishes and international options. Fresh fruits, chilaquiles, eggs made to order, and pastries were always available and well presented. In the evenings, the menu included wood-fired pizzas, which were surprisingly good and a nice option if you didn’t feel like going out. There’s also a small café in the lobby that’s ideal for informal meetings or grabbing a quick coffee. Although I didn’t use the fitness center, it’s open 24 hours and offers basic equipment. The hotel also features a business center and event spaces, which would be useful for corporate travelers. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is quiet, clean, and comfortable. The common areas have a classic, almost European feel, while the rooms and facilities are modern and functional. The value for the price is very good—especially given the prime location and quality of service. In conclusion, Hotel Emporio Reforma is a solid option for both business and leisure travelers looking for an affordable yet elegant stay in the center of Mexico City. While it may not offer the ultra-modern amenities of a high-end luxury hotel, it makes up for it with charm, location, and genuine hospitality. I would definitely consider staying here again on future visits.

The staff was amazing! Especially the short older gentlemen. He was amazing. The coffee in the restaurant in the lobby was superb. All off the staff at the restaurant and housekeeping were exceptional. However, the doormen didn’t speak to me when I walked in. That’s insignificant but it bothered me that they were greeting others and not me.

About the rooms I dont know, location is superb. Service at restaurant was very attentive but buffet had some weak points in hygiene, offers and alternatives for glutenfree etc. Service at reception was not well organized and little unfriendly. But overall a good place to have a coffee or a drink.

Great location. Good staff and fancy lobby/front. The rooms definitely remodeling though. They were small and pretty outdated for the high price.

The service was superb! The staff was attentive and extremely kind. The first day we got here we asked about food recommendations and a spectacular older gentleman at the front desk walked us to location to make sure we didn’t get lost and arrived safely. We also dinned at the hotel restaurant. If I can give 10 stars I would! We had an excellent server named Leonardo “Leo” he was phenomenal he went out of his way to accommodate our food and drink preferences. He made us feel totally at ease with the right mix of humor, energy and care. He had us laughing within minutes, still being completely professional and attentive to what we needed. We felt like we were actually getting first class service. If you’re looking for someone who makes you feel like you belong and leaves you in a better mood Leo is your person. Also phenomenal job to the cleaning staff who provided exceptional service and went above and beyond.

Our stay was short and pleasant. Everything was just perfect from the day we arrived to our departure, the staffs were very attentive, yes the room was not big but it was sufficient. And I really love the lighting we can switch to our preference especially to sleep. Night was also quiet and I got to enjoy shower with warm water before sleeping. Wish I have stayed here for longer. Will come back given the opportunity!

Emporio is not a true five star hotel. It's old and elegant but many things were not up to a five-star standard. Most importantly the beds were comfortable and it was quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The gym certainly does not live up to a five-star standard. Starbucks is served in the cafe rather than gourmet coffee. Again not befitting of a five-star hotel. The location is pretty good.
